Jacqueline Flores
The Law Office of Michael J. Scott has had the privilege to have Jacqueline Flores as part of the Team since 2015. She is originally from Orange County, California and moved to the Central Coast to find new opportunities and continue her education. Because of her Guatemalan heritage, Jackie speaks fluent Spanish, which allows her to interpret for all Spanish-speaking clients as their primary language.
Ever since she was young, she has always wanted to help people in some way and has been equally fascinated by the law. As a legal Assistant, she finds the nature of the work, coupled with the diversity of cases and client issues that are brought to this law office most appealing.
On a personal level, Jackie is a people person, kind-hearted, and enjoys spending time with her family, friends and traveling.
Amanda Carroll
Amanda Carroll is part of the bookkeeping team here at Michael J. Scott Law Office. Over the past year and a half, she has been learning bookkeeping, accounting, and working with client accounts.

Amanda was born and raised in Santa Maria and has lived here off and on her entire life. She has a beautiful six-year-old daughter named Selah who is her world. Amanda enjoys playing softball and watching her daughter do gymnastics. She has an amazing group of family and friends in her life. She is also very active in Narcotics Anonymous.
She loves working for Mr. Scott because he is such an intelligent and compassionate man. She also says the people she works with are amazing.
Jinny Scott
Jinny is the Administrative Manager at Mr. Scott’s office. She has been with Mr. Scott for the last 34 years. (They have been married for 37 years. She started as his legal secretary in 1987 and as his office expanded her duties increased.
She is college educated in Business and Human resources. She started work in several corporations, among them, Martin Marietta with the Space Shuttle Program.
She has been active in the community with schools and church and many other projects. She enjoys working with people and she loves animals. Her most recent activity has been decorating trees for the Christmas Altrusa Clubs. She and the office have consistently won first place for the best decorated Tree, with fun gifts and large gift certificates donated to the community by Michael J Scott.
Ursula Escalante
Born and raised on the Central Coast, Ursula has had many years of experience working in the local community. From her first job working on a team for an employment training program to being the first face you see working at the front desk of hotels, salons, and drug treatment programs while going to school. Ursula devotes herself to her work.
Ursula switched careers and started to work in law at the Public Defender’s office in Santa Maria. She immediately began working in Judge Patricia Kelly’s court until she transitioned to Michael J. Scott’s office in 2018.
Ursula’s years of combined social service work, schooling and commitment to excellence have been a great asset to the office.
